DAAVOZZ is interested in reflecting national symbols, traditions, and elements representative of his country, but in a way that engages in dialogue with the present, without falling into stereotype or an overly traditional style. Many of his works address themes related to Latin American identity, power, history, and the culture of Mexico, his home country. His work can be seen as a bridge between classical figurative representation and a contemporary reinterpretation of national symbols.
