Painter, critic and teacher of British origin based in Mexico City. Around 1961 he taught figure drawing and the history of painting techniques —egg tempera among them— at Mexico City College. As a critic he wrote on Mexican painting for Artforum (1962) and Texas Quarterly (1969) and for years reviewed exhibitions for The News, Mexico City’s English-language daily.
