A prominent figure on the art scene of the 1970s, she was above all a portraitist —some two thousand faces are attributed to her— and painted nudes, erotic scenes and landscapes with a surrealist air. She painted murals for the Cineteca Nacional and the Bosque de Chapultepec, both now lost; the one at the former seat of the Senate of the Republic (1971) survives. She exhibited at Galería Misrachi, the Salón de la Plástica Mexicana and the Mexican Cultural Institute in San Antonio, Texas.
