Mexico City, 1947 — Metepec, State of Mexico, 2022. He studied at the Academia de San Carlos between 1965 and 1970 and then joined the INBA’s national centre for the conservation of artworks, where he worked on the restoration of murals and paintings. At twenty he won first prize in the INJUVE national printmaking competition; later came an honourable mention at the Maracaibo Biennial and the Goya Prize of the Instituto Cultural Domecq’s Ibero-American Biennial. He worked in painting, sculpture, printmaking and mural, in series such as «Grandeza Mexicana», «Almas fracturadas», «Cosmovisión» and «Sueños». His work is held by the UNAM’s Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, the Centro Cultural Mexiquense and a museum in Sofia, Bulgaria.
