Cuernavaca, Morelos, 1951 — Fresnillo, Zacatecas, 2025. He lived in Fresnillo from the age of eight and remained tied to that city all his life. He studied visual arts at UNAM and worked as a graphic designer and illustrator, producing children’s science publications and television programmes. His painting, vibrant in colour and full of humour, draws on the symbols and motifs of Mexican popular culture. He exhibited in New York, San Francisco, Rome, Madrid and Paris, and in Zacatecas presented «Me muero de ganas de vivir» (Museo Rafael Coronel, 2018) and «70 años no son nada» (Ex Templo de San Agustín, 2021).
