Aguascalientes, 1940 — Tixtla, Guerrero, 2003. He had his first painting lessons from José Rosas Juárez in 1955 and studied at La Esmeralda between 1962 and 1966; he assisted the muralist Raúl Anguiano at the Museo Nacional de Antropología. His first solo show, twenty-five works, opened in May 1969 at the Museo de la Ciudad de México; he later exhibited at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Gráficas, the Galería Rosano in San Ángel and, in 1983, in Tokyo, Urawa and Kyoto. Between 1984 and 1986 he painted, without payment, the roughly seven hundred and thirty square metres of the mural «Tixtla y los próceres guerrerenses» in the Tixtla town hall; also his are the «Pintura Humboldt» in the Chilpancingo town hall (1986) and «La cacería del venado en las tierras mayas», in Acapulco.
